From your diary: Tuesday (Oct 13) is a new complete day — nice rebound. You logged 2,127 kcal, 111 g protein, 2,853 mg sodium, and 97 g sugar against goals of 2,460 / 123 / 2,300 / 92. Lunch leaned hard on four slices of French bread (about 1,440 mg sodium alone), mortadella, San Pellegrino Pompelmo (35 g sugar), and cookies; breakfast still had a Rockstar. Oct 8 is your other recent complete day. Oct 9–10 and 12 are blank, Oct 11 was breakfast only, and today is empty so far. Weight Check-In is still 252 lb from July 5.
The CDC's plate method keeps blood sugar steadier: half the plate nonstarchy veggies, one quarter lean protein, one quarter carbs, plus water or an unsweetened drink. Tuesday's lunch flipped that — bread and sweets crowded out the veggie half, and the grapefruit soda hit blood sugar faster than whole fruit would. Tonight, rebuild dinner as chicken or eggs plus a big salad or broccoli, and keep the carb side to about a fist of potato, rice, or bread — not four slices.
The National Institute on Aging says older adults need aerobic work, muscle-strengthening at least two days a week on the major muscle groups, and balance work. One set of 8–12 reps counts; two or three sets can do more. Pair walking or NordicTrack rides with two short strength sessions this week (chair sit-to-stands, wall push-ups, bands), and skip training the same muscles two days in a row.
The National Psoriasis Foundation notes there is no cure diet, but a heart-healthy pattern and gradual weight loss can ease disease burden and cut risk of diabetes and heart disease that often travel with psoriasis. They point to fish, lean poultry, produce, and limiting processed meat, excess sodium (they cite under 1,500 mg as a heart goal), and refined sugar — and they still recommend a food diary. Tuesday's deli meats, salted bread, Rockstar, and candy are the exact swap list; keep logging so you and your dermatologist can see patterns.
Lifestyle education only. I'm not a physician, dietitian, or dermatologist, so don't change or stop prescribed meds based on this brief. Check with your real doctor about blood sugar changes, flares, injuries, or before starting a new exercise routine.
You closed a full day Tuesday — that is the habit coming back. Log breakfast today and keep going. You can do it, Dan.
